Services for Home
We offer a wide variety of services for home and home office users. These services range from simple upgrades to complete computer replacement and home network installations.
Consultation
In-home Consultation - $50
Looking at purchasing a new computer or upgrading your existing one? Want to hook up multiple computers or go wireless? With our in-home consultation, we will visit your home, review your existing setup, discuss your technology needs and make recommendations.
Networking
Network Installation - $150
Work securely from anywhere in your home, while sharing the Internet and files between computers. We will setup your wired or wireless network to work with your multi-computer network. Includes setup of a router and up to two computers. Each additional computer/device is an additional $50. Does not include setup of Internet connection or equipment.
Wireless Security Setup - $75
Did you know that a majority of wireless networks are unsecured? If yours is not secured, we will setup the proper security on your wireless network to prevent others from accessing your wireless network.
Internet Setup - $100
Upgrading or switching your Internet connection? Need help getting everything setup? We will setup the equipment and make sure it is working properly.
Computer Setup
Computer Setup without Data Transfer - $100
Let us setup your new computer, whether purchased from us or somewhere else. We will configure the computer, hook it up to the Internet, and setup your printer and other devices. Does not include transferring data from old computer.
Computer Setup with Data Transfer - $150
Same as above, but includes transfer of data from old computer.
Repairs and Upgrades
Computer Optimization - $100
Like your car, your computer is a finely tuned machine that needs regular maintenance to keep it running smoothly and efficiently. We will remove unnecessary software, check anti-virus software, install Microsoft updates, run disk cleanup, and disk defragmenter.
Computer Diagnostics and Repair - $50
Is your computer not running like it used to? Can’t decide whether to get a new one or not? Let us take a look at it, fix it, or give you our professional advice on whether to replace it or not.
Virus/Spyware Removal - $75
Do you think your computer is infected with a virus or spyware application? We will completely scan and remove all viruses and spyware applications.
Replace Hard Drive - $75
Running out of hard drive space? We will install the new drive and copy your data over to it.
Add Memory (RAM) - $25
System running slow? Adding RAM is the "best bang for your buck" upgrade you can do to your computer to increase system performance.
Operating System Installation - $150
Want to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft® Windows? We will analyze your system to make sure that it supports the latest version and install it.
Basic Operating System Re-installation - $100
We will reformat your drive and install the original operating system and updates. Data will NOT be retained. Original manufacturer CD’s/DVD’s required.
Advanced Operating System Re-installation - $175
We will reformat your drive and install the original operating system and updates. Data WILL be retained. Original manufacturer CD’s/DVD’s required.
Hard Drive Erasure - $50
Before disposing or donating your old computer, make sure your confidential data is completely removed from the hard drive. Free computer disposal, $10 per monitor.
Data Recovery - $150
Did your hard drive crash? Want to recover your critical data such as pictures and financial data? We can attempt to transfer all the files from the damaged source onto another hard drive, CD, DVD, or external hard drive.
Bundled Packages
Computer Maintenance - $150
Includes computer optimization and virus/spyware removal.
Computer Replacement - $175
Ready to replace that old computer. With this package, we will setup your new computer (including transfer of data), setup your peripherals, hook it up to the Internet, and erase the old hard drive before being disposed of. Monitor disposal, add $10.
Computer Overhaul - $250
We will upgrade the hard drive, copy your data to it, install additional RAM, as well as perform optimization and virus/spyware removal.
Prices do not include hardware or software. Prices are effective January 1, 2008 and subject to change without notice. All other services not listed above will be billed at $50/hour. $25 trip charge per service call for on-site services provided outside of the Cedar Rapids metro area.
